November 14, 2014 By April Raque Leave a comment

During AU 2014, Advanced Solutions will participate as a Gold Sponsor and showcase the latest innovations in product design and engineering services from its subsidiaries and brands. The Advanced Solutions showcase will be on the AU 2014 Expo floor at booth #116, just inside the main entrance into the exhibit hall. Visitors to the booth can also enter a drawing for great prizes, such as a MakerBot® Replicator® Mini 3D printer and an Advanced Solutions CAD Club training membership.

At the booth, conference attendees will have the opportunity to experience the next generation in 3D printing from Advanced Solutions Life Sciences: The BioAssemblyBot™ and TSIM™ Lab Quest tabletop workstation. Advanced Solutions Life Sciences, LLC is dedicated to the discovery, design, development and commercialization of integrated software and hardware solutions for the fields of science that involve living organisms, molecular biology, and biotechnology. Other offerings from Advanced Solutions such as WorkFlow Simulation, PLM Solutions, and Visual Collaboration Systems will be a part of the experience at the Advanced Solutions Booth #116.

In addition, Advanced Solutions will present three uniquely in-depth classes throughout Autodesk University.

CD8037 – If Your Heart Breaks, Can You Print a New One?

Wednesday, December 3, 2014 @ 8:00am… 3D printed organs made from your own cells? It sounds like science fiction, but the biotech industry is headed in that direction, thanks in part to recent advancements in 3D printing by Advanced Solutions Life Sciences, LLC, a subsidiary of Autodesk Platinum Partner, Advanced Solutions, Inc. During this class, hear firsthand from Michael Golway, President & CEO of Advanced Solutions. He will tell the story of bringing the BioAssemblyBot™ and TSIM™ Lab Quest tabletop workstation to market using Autodesk Digital Prototyping processes.

AB8057 – Removing Pain from Your Process

Wednesday, December 3, 2014 @ 10:00am… You can have highly capable teams, the latest technology and limitless resources, but if your processes are not optimized, you are leaving money on the table. This in-depth look at internal business processes will be presented by Scott Hoover, Ph.D., Advanced Solutions Industrial Engineer. During this class, learn how industrial engineering methods traditionally applied towards manufacturing environments are being used to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, increase profit and improve competitive advantage for AEC firm workflows.

MD5511 – Simulate While You Design with Inventor and Simulation DFM

Wednesday, December 3, 2014 @ 1:00pm… Robert Savage, Advanced Solutions Education Specialist, will show you how simulation DFM software loads inside your 3D design tool to give you near-real-time feedback on the quality of your plastic part as you design it. Simulation DFM software reviews things such as nominal wall thickness, draft angle, material cost, part recyclability, sink marks, fill patterns, and more, to grade your part in the categories of manufacturability, cost, and environmental impact. In this class we will look at how we can analyze the part files during the design process.
