I sat down with Applications Engineer Adrianna Schneider and Solutions Engineer Chris Breland to discuss the importance of advanced certification, as well as their experience during the Simulation Bronze Certification process.
First, let’s define the Autodesk Simulation Portfolio. There are three very different Simulation technologies available: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for Mechanical; Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industry; and Moldflow for the Manufacturing Industry.
Both Adrianna and Chris have achieved the Bronze level of Certification of Autodesk Simulation CFD for Technical Engineers, with Chris also having his Certification in Simulation Mechanical. With this advanced certification, the technical team understands Autodesk Simulation and has the ability to implement both solutions and services for this product. In addition, they are experts in demonstrating velocity profiles and thermal gradients, as well as the decision center features of Simulation CFD and Mechanical.
I asked them to share their thoughts on the importance of certification in Simulation.
Adrianna: “I think creating an environment for clients, where they feel confident that their instructor is certified in the workflow and tools they are presenting, provides a sense of security and allows the client to enjoy the learning process.”
Chris: “Certification gives you the confidence to present your knowledge of Simulation to a customer and present the capabilities of the software in a compelling way. Also, it enhances credibility to have the official backing of Autodesk when going to meet with potential clients about Simulation.”
