Editing the Parts Catalog, Part 2: Pipe Values

April 23, 2014 By Leo Lavayen Leave a comment

As mentioned in Part 1 in my previous BLOG, make sure you have a back up of the Pipe Catalog before making edits.

Adjusting values will allow to more realistic sizes, adjust appearance or behavior of standard parts:

  • Adjust pipes and structure to show correct Wall Thickness (Wth)
  • Improve structure look by zeroing out the Floor Thickness (FTh)
  • Allow more play between pipe and structure by adjusting clearances (SBPC)

Editing a Pipe

  1. From Civil 3D > open the catalog by going to Home ribbon > expand the Create Design panel > select the Part Builder button (or by typing PARTBUILDER on the command line)
  2. From the dialog box dropdown > select Pipe.
