BIM for Infrastructure is now!

This is your chance to learn how to take advantage of BIM within Infrastructure throughout design, engineering, and construction. As an ever increasing number of infrastructure projects use Building Information Modeling (BIM), many in the industry are realizing they need to embrace BIM to compete and win new work. A range of appealing benefits accompany projects that use a BIM-based approach: less rework, fewer errors, enhanced collaboration, and useful design data.

Animation within Vehicle Tracking

April 28, 2014 By Rob Wiederman Leave a comment

The phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words" holds true when we are trying to convey our design intent to a client or reviewing agency. From Vehicle Tracking ribbon, we can simply choose the Animate button. In order to animate our swept path, we must have a path created similar to the one below.

Now that we have a swept path, we will simply choose animate.

After choosing animate, the vehicle tracking animation toolbar appears. The buttons we will be most concerned with are the last five. Starting from the the far right: Fly-by-camera, Animate in 3-D, Snapshot, Settings, and Record.

If we choose the Animate in 3-D, we can see our vehicle in motion along the path we have created.
